Kathryn Whisman

On behalf of Agnese Nelms Haury Program in Environment & Social Justice
"The Women of Haury" who were there at the start of the program were honored at the 10-year anniversary dedication event for Mrs. Haury's Garden on October 11, 2024. These women are honored for their vision, leadership and work in environment, social justice and Indigenous resilience.
Ms. Whisman served on the DAF Board, representing the University of Arizona (UA), from 2015 to the summer of 2020, when she retired from the UA. As the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Budget Officer for the University of Arizona, she contributed her vast depth of knowledge of UA financial policies and programs to leverage the Haury Program funds for maximum impact. Additionally, she lent her expertise to develop fiscally responsible reporting structures for the new program. She set a tone of fiscal intelligence and dedication to excellence.
Ms. Whisman received her bachelor’s degree in business teacher education from Bowling Green State University and her Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), in Finance from Wright State University. She is an avid and talented tennis player, and now enjoys an active retirement.
