Gift: Engraved Paver, Large Inscription: JANE HUNTER APPRECIATION FOR HER OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AND DEDICATION TO UARIZONA
Jane Hunter is a two-time graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Higher Education from the University of Arizona. Following ten rewarding years in industry and ten wonderful years devoted to raising her children, she began her career with the College of Engineering as an adjunct faculty member teaching Introduction to Engineering. She soon became involved in developing the Engineering Management Program and then served as the Director of Engineering Education Enhancement Programs. Her commitment to engaged learning led her to a role as the Director for Academic Resources and Special Projects in the Office of the Provost where she worked with an amazing team that transformed teaching and learning at the University of Arizona. In her most recent role, as the Vice President for Strategic Initiates, Dr. Hunter led an exceptional team who provided oversight for the implementation of the 2018-19 strategic plan and implemented many critical projects including a nationally recognized COVID 19 testing program. Over the years, Jane has served as a role model to many women in the university community who aspire to advance their careers while balancing their commitment to their families and outside interests.
