Audrey Mattson
Audrey Mattson served in a variety of roles and positions during her 40 years of employment at the University of Arizona. While the number of years, Audrey served the University is impressive and unparalleled, it is the impact she has had on 10 generations of college students that will be remembered and live in infamy.
Working with campus activities throughout her career, Audrey spent thousands of hours on her feet, has blown up more balloons than she cares to remember, and has laughed and cried with students, staff and alumni through countless milestones in her life and theirs.
Audrey has always shown up for everyone. Volunteering at events, running around campus helping to make sure an event goes off without a hitch, attending weddings, showing up with food after the birth of a baby, hosting gatherings at her home, and always with a smile and sense of humor that could make even the hardest day bearable.
Audrey is the University of Arizona. While her retirement will mark the end of her long career at the UA, her energy, her humor and her care of our students will remain. This paver is a physical representation of the foundation of love, hope and laughter that Audrey built with every day of her service to our students. We are forever grateful.
