Diane was born in Providence, RI, in 1936. In 1947 she moved to Tucson with her parents and her uncle. Her sister and brother-in-law followed shortly thereafter. Diane graduated from Tucson High School and the University of Arizona (BA and MEd). She moved to Los Angeles in 1957, where she worked at the Exceptional Children’s Foundation as a psychologist. She met and married Ron Weintraub in 1958. In 1965, Diane and her family moved to Tucson. Diane worked for the State of Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities for 10 years. She then became a realtor with Long Realty and was also the founding director of the Long Realty Cares Foundation. Diane belonged to Soroptomist Desert Tucson and the Executive Women’s Council. She held several positions with the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and was named Woman of the Year in 2011. Diane is a mother of three and grandmother of seven.
