Kay Metzger Groll
I am honoring my good friend Kay Groll. Kay was a great athlete and loved to participate in badminton, tennis, biking, hiking, golf, and swimming. Kay was a teacher in the classroom for over 30 years and has continued to be a teacher of life in her retirement. In 2013, Kay was diagnosed with ALS and started a crusade to bring awareness to the disease. She created a blog to pass on life lessons based on her daily life experiences. Her body has become motionless because of this disease but her mind remains active and her blogs (written on her computer with her Eye gaze) are true inspirational life stories read by hundreds. Kay’s inner strength amazes us all as she continues to live by her motto “LIVE YOUR LIFE”!
