I began the process to create this etching in stone and profile page on July 23, 2016 in memoriam of my friend and former classmate, Jennifer L. Hoffman. Jenny died in 1996. She was a vibrant human being, and a wonderful young girl. She shared her love, God's love, with me, as well as a caring smile. Jenny graduated from UArizona in 1996. Anthropology and Judaic studies. She was a true friend. Virtue. Kindness. Jenny was a musician. An athlete. She became a DJ on Tucson Christian radio. She was a dedicated woman of faith. What more may a human being hope to achieve, but whose innate decency inspires another person ever after to be better, to do more good, to give more. Jenny also dedicated the last five years of her life to the completion of her training at UArizona. She celebrated her faith. From her faith came her strength, and she shared it. Jenny intended to experience many years of interpretation, discovery, and analysis. The work she would have gone on to do in life, the work of her peers in the field in the years since her passing, will be gleaned from for generations to come. Jenny was one of those most extraordinary of people you admire deeply, and want to be with. I will love her forever.
