Delores Faison
Dr. Delores Faison is a proud mother and grandmother. She is the widow of a retired disabled American Veteran of the Vietnam War. She is an ordained Deacon in the Presbyterian Church (PC-USA) and she sings with the Tucson Arizona Mass Choir (TAMC). Dr. Faison hosted the "Women of Color" television talk show for several years and wrote the "FYI" (For Your Information) column for the Tucson Sun Press. She is retired from the Federal Government and currently works as a Judge for the Board of Elections. Dr. Faison is a Past President of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees association (NARFE) and a current member of the board of directors. She is an active member of the International Interest discussion group of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). She is also a member of the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA). Dr. Faison is a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association where she is also a former member of the board of directors. Dr. Faison has reviewed several cases on a monthly basis as a member of a Supreme Court Review Board. She has served on the Early Intervention Allocations Committee for the United Way. She currently serves on the Supervisory Committee for a federal credit union. Dr. Faison received a certificate of "Recognition and Appreciation" from Tucson's Mayor Jonathan Rothschild. She was also the recipient of the "Women on the Move" award from the YWCA. Federal organizations that have recognized or honored Dr. Faison include: the United States Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; the United States Postal Service for chairing the Affirmative Action Advisory Committee for multiple years; the United States Department of Agriculture for dedicated and valuable service; the United States Military in appreciation for "Outstanding Leadership and Achievement in Human Care Services". She also received the "Award for Patriotic Service" from the United States Department of the Treasury. Dr. Faison is a graduate of Greater Tucson Leadership. She is represented in "Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America" and "Who's Who of American Women".
