Susan Ouimette arrived in Tucson, Arizona to attend the University of Arizona and never looked back. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University and became an employee of the College of Business and Public Administration. Working for Associate Dean Richard Scott in Undergraduate Programs after years of generating and filing student records on paper she shepherded the department into the era of computers at every desk. In those "early" days of the College Susan probably knew everyone who worked in those hallowed College halls. But the College grew until it outgrew its physical space and once again Susan was part of a transition: this time it was to a new building on the north side of Speedway. Not only were there new physical surroundings but also a new identity: Eller College of Management. By now Susan was an academic advisor and a valued member of the Undergraduate Programs as the keeper of historical catalogs and institutional knowledge of University policies. In the many years she has worked for Eller College of Management she has seen the change of guard in the Dean's office; she has seen curriculum change and University policies change but she has remained the constant as a source of thorough explanation to all students who seek an answer to their questions. Susan's wisdom extends beyond all that she has learned in her many years and imparted to thousands of students in this academic institution. Personally, she knows that man's - and woman's - best friends are the dogs that greet her when she returns home from work at the end of the day. Her love for animals is vast and she has brightened the day of many co-workers with her pictures and "tales" of animals from around the world. As she retires the Eller College Undergraduate Programs office wishes her the best of days ahead.
