Valeene Williamson Bedford

Valeene Williamson Bedford serves as the Corporation's Insurance Compliance Specialist for Tucson Electric Power Company. Since 1988 Valeene has served in a variety of roles for TEP including past chair and current member of TEP's Community Action Team (CAT) Board. She has also served since 2003 as a member of the company's Grants That Make A Difference Committee which makes annual awards to a number of non-profit agencies that provide services to improve the health and well-being of at-risk children teens and families throughout Pima County. An avid volunteer Valeene has served on various boards for over three decades including Our Town Family Services (now Our Family) the Volunteer Center's Youth Committee and The Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross. Her service to the community includes years as a chaplain to juveniles in Pima County Jail and to residents at a local nursing home. She is a licensed minister ordained in 2005 and is the assistant pastor of Agape Christian Church International headquartered in Tucson Arizona. As President and Co-Founder of Seeds of Hope Inc. an international missions organization charged with training leaders worldwide in ministry development and creation of social sustainability projects Valeene has trained leaders and addressed groups around the world. In addition to serving the needs of local refugees and destitute families in Northern Mexico the Board of the organization oversees a growing number of Agape ministries located in Kenya India and Uganda. Valeene has been an adjunct professor for Oral Roberts University since 2009 and holds a B.S. degree in business administration and business management with a master's degree in theology. A loving wife mother and grandmother her ultimate goal is to encourage and motivate others to seek success by striving to achieve their personal best in every situation.
