Virginia Capps Hall

Beloved Wildcat Wife Mother Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Virginia Capps Hall was born in Mt. Vernon Illinois on December 27 1012. On October 31 1936 she married Charles Wesley Hall Jr. '32. Their five children soon followed: Alice Hall Bayer '60 Charles Wesley Hall III '65 Susan Hall '65 Nancy Hall Chase (Brad) and Allen Capps Hall (Nancy Bunny). Her husband Charles attended the University of Arizona as a young man and longed to return to the State that he loved so in 1959 he moved his family from Illinois to Scottsdale. Virginia's focus was always on her family. In addition to her children she had eight beloved grandchildren: Emily and Ellen Bayer Lindsay Hall Baumhefner '00 (Matt) Lauren Hall Miller '04 (Cale '04) Jane Chase Jennewine (Chris) Susan Chase Koerner (Mike '95) Charles D. Hall '04 and Andrew C. Hall. Also four Great-grandchildren: Chase and Alyssa Jennewine and Brad and Caroline Koerner. She was a positive role model to all who knew her. She was a wonderful hostess cook and friend - always generous and benevolent; always active in Church activities/events and community organizations. The Hall Family established The Charles W. Hall Jr. and Virginia Capps Hall Memorial Endowment at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center in 1966. Virginia was a vital part of a LOYAL WILDCAT FAMILY --- A TRUE HONORARY U OF A ALUMNAE --- she enjoyed many Parent/Homecoming weekends with fraternity and sorority events basketball and football games and graduation ceremonies at the University. She will be forever remembered by her beautiful smile grace and dignity.
