Nellie G. Marquez was born one of 10 children in the southeast mining community of Clifton AZ. She married Fred (Lico) Marquez and had two children Edmund and Priscilla. Nellie and her husband owned and operated three tortilla factories barber shops several restaurants and an insurance agency for over 50 years and was a pioneer in woman-owned businesses. She has five grandchildren - Lea Greg Edmund Steven and Aileen and six great grandchildren.
