Eva Teso Gonzales
Eva Manuelita Teso Gonzales was born in Tucson, Arizona on June 9, 1955, and is a very proud native. She comes from a loving family which consists of two daughters (Maria & Yolanda); four brothers (Luis William Peter and Hector) and 1 sister (Rosemary). And of course, the love's of her life grandsons Psymon and Fenix. After graduating from Cholla High School in June of 1973 (first graduating class) Eva attended Lamson Business College. Worked with Project PPEP and then in 1976 received employment with the University of Arizona. She worked in various campus departments (Arizona Cooperative Extension/Home Economics Pediatrics at UMC) before calling Physics her home for 28 years. As a staff member she supported faculty staff and students and served on various committees during her employment (see below). Eva served as President of the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) for two years and during that time was asked to speak at President Shelton's inauguration. That was a very proud moment for her! Eva retired on May 7, 2010 after 32 years of dedicated employment to the University of Arizona. Eva is a remarkable woman and has touched influenced and inspired the lives of many. The saying engraved on her brick "you are a gift" is a testament to that.
