Luke 12: 48 is her life guide. Paraphrased it reads; from everyone to whom much has been given much will be required and from the one to whom much has been entrusted even more will be demanded. She acknowledges that she have been entrusted with much! She is therefore committed to give back to her family church and community by utilizing the gifts talents resources and skills for which she has been entrusted. Chair of the UA Sarver Heart Women's Education Committee Minority Outreach Program recipient of the 2014 Governor's Volunteer of the Year for the State of AZ 2013 Vanguard Harriet Tubman Award 2012 selected as one of the 25 Most Influential African Americans in Southern AZ 2011 Heart Health Advocate of the Year 2008 Lincoln J. Ragsdale Sr. Outstanding Directors Award and 2008 "Breaking the Silence Award" for HIV/AIDS in the African American Community. She is an advocate for Voters Rights Chair of the Board of Deltas of Southern AZ serving as Social Action Chair of the Tucson Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. 2006-2008 the Sorority was recognized by the African American Aids Awareness Alliance for their continued advocacy for HIV/AIDS Education and Awareness in the Tucson Community. Wanda was named "Phenomenal Woman 2006" by the University of AZ Black Alumni for her outstanding community work. She established a scholarship under the Black Alumni for minority students at the U of A. She was appointed to the Arizona State Personnel Board by Governor Janet Napolitano in March 2003. She was appointed to the Arizona Supreme Court Bar Commission on Character & Fitness in January 2007 and served a seven year term. Additionally, she has served on the Board of the Tucson Urban League Black Board of Directors Project Community Foundation Of Southern AZ Sahuaro Girls Scouts Nominating Committee Chair for the 2006 American Heart Association Go Red for Women Campaign. Supports and works with the Southern Arizona Aids Foundation and the University of AZ Black Alumni. In 2005 she received recognition for Excellence in Social Action Civic Responsibility Advocacy Coalition Building and Contribution to Public Policy & Service in the Farwest Region for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She is currently serving on the American Heart Association Circle of Red Community Foundation of Southern AZ's African American Initiative Board University of Arizona Sarver Heart Women's Education Committee University of AZ Sarver Heart Advisory Board and Chair of the Community Coalition for Heart Health Education for Women of Color. She is a wife (Jimmy D. Moore) mother of three grandmother of one community activist and community volunteer active in church and an Advocate for Heart Health Education. She enjoys teaching writing reading bowling and especially the game of golf. Honored on the African American Women's Arch.
