My mother Patricia Thomas Johnson was born in Fargo North Dakota on August 17 1922 the daughter of Ervine Roebuck Thomas and Ruby Schroeder Thomas. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and attended Stephens College and the University of Arizona where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She married Marvin Thornton Johnson May 16 1944 and moved to Phoenix Arizona. She had four children: Patricia Johnson Doerr Susan Thomas Johnson Marvin Thornton Johnson (deceased) and Thomas Ervine Roebuck Johnson. My mother is my best friend. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it were not for her constant love support patience and courage. She has dedicated her life to keeping our family together while sacrificing her own personal needs and desires for the needs of others. Her family and friends always came first and they still do. And life for my mother hasn't been all that easy. There were some very painful and difficult years and yet she was the rock... the brick... the person who tried to make a difference in the lives of our family. She is a true saint in every way and I love her very much.
