Ana Gordian
"Tiptoe through the tulips" my mother used to say. It has taken me a length of time to write about her since there are really no adequate words to fully describe this outstanding woman. As I think about who she was and what she did in her life I can appreciate the wonderful fact of how she made such an impact on people's lives-her family her friends and even strangers. She was more than beautiful both inside and out. She was more than intelligent more than bright. She was nurturing and supportive sweet and caring genuine and loving and very sensitive to other's needs. She was also confident courageous and quite a risk-taker. She was hardworking in her job and in her home. During her life she was a secretary a beautician and a social caseworker. My mother was great at relating to people. She was a psychologist a healer and a peacemaker. I remember her visiting with the republican ladies at their luncheons on some days and helping out the homeless on other days. As a daughter what I saw as being her greatest gift was how she sacrificed and dedicated most of her life to her three children. She loved her family dearly. She helped them in all that she could so that they could achieve their goals. Even non-immediate family members who had many ambitions were sure to experience her assistance. In all of her roles (daughter mother sister aunt and wife) she always went beyond what was expected. She was both a teacher and a great chef. She loved to read and inform herself watch movies listen to music work on home projects and invent. She took much joy in her adventures with her family and friends. Throughout her life she was a woman of strength and character. She could be a dreamer yet also a realist. Overall, she was a great mother who will be loved and remembered always. Ana Gordian was truly a "Woman of Honor". Peace and eternal rest to this angel always.
