Dept. 1978-1984 - Pima Community College East Campus Neighborhood Advisory Committee 1981-1984 - Facilitator of Woman's Day during Tucson's 1975 Becentennial Celebration - Founding board member and secretary of the Southern Arizona Light Opera Company - Charter member of the Tucson Women's Commission 1976-1979 - Member of We Also Served and Ex-Spouses of Servicemen and Women for Equality 1981 - Member of Executive Women's Council of Southern Arizona 1982 - Docent at Tucson Museum of Art since 1985 Independent intellectually curious and compassionate Ann Manns has contributed in countless ways to our community as an activist and feminist through her employment as an instructor with Pima Community College Skill Center where she taught adult education GED preparation and job orientation for the Work Incentive Program a program which enabled women on welfare to find jobs and become self-sufficient as well as through her numerous volunteer activities ranging from her membership on the boards of such diverse organizations as Pio Decimo Center and the Tucson Women's Commission to her participation as a docent at the Tucson Museum of Art. She has served as a mentor and inspiration to women of all ages in the community as well as to her own children and grandchildren. Since her retirement she has continued to be involved in the community and has remained an active supporter of the arts and local theater.
