Lillian Fisher has enjoyed success in her marriage to Bernard Fisher a dentist; as a parent to three children Margie Michael and Anne; as a grandparent and a great-grandparent. She was a pioneer in the field of law graduating at the top of her class from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1963. She worked in private practice and was an instructor in legal writing at the Law School in the 1960s. In 1974 she ran for the Office of Pima County Superior Court Judge and was elected. She served on the bench for 16 years and was responsible for many innovations to the Domestic and Juvenile Courts. Her most notable was the establishment of the program now known as the Arizona CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Program.
