"Sally Drachman is an extraordinary advocate for Tucson. In over half a century, she has raised hundreds of millions of dollars to protect people and their health, education, the arts and the environment. Sally has had an amazing impact as a leader of many diverse organizations. She has chosen to work out of the spotlight of fame and gives bountifully of her own time, energy and wealth. She has been a teacher, a counselor, a public speaker, a businesswoman, a negotiator and a public servant.

In addition to fundraising, she has mentored and trained those around her to carry on her work. She has been a loving mother, grandmother, wife and dear friend. Sally's life stands as an inspiration to each of us about how to serve our community. Showing even one tenth her effort could better the world. Thank you, Sally. And thanks from the thousands of people you have helped to have better lives." -- Dora Bursey
